This last holiday weekend for Memorial day, we spent the afternoon at my uncle's house and did some swimming. We had the idea to try and take some underwater shots for engagement pictures hoping that some would turn out. Mom went ahead and brought her scuba gear so Brian could just hang out with the camera at the bottom of the pool.
It took a while for Erin to get her human fins back, but she got the swing of it and she really liked her new "family appropriate" swim suit with its frills.

Bye Trista :(
So Trista picked D.C. over me for the summer. No Panera, Guitar Hero, Ghost Hunters, Cherry on Top, Palm Springs, looking at trashy magazines, Disneyland. Ok I'm still going to do all those things...but it will be lonely. We did get to spend a couple really fun days before she left.
Craaazy air hockey. 3 pucks, 2 blocker guy things, 1 winner.
Which was me...3 times.
My game face.
At least she got to beat someone.
Kevin lost to everyone :) But looked good doing it.
I definitely miss my lovely ladies♥

Wedding Annnoucement Sneak Peek
They are coming!!!!
This one didn't make the cut. Erin tried to oversell her pose, but she sure does look good!!!
Banana Fight - She started it!
I was minding my own business just enjoying a banana while watching some TV with Erin. For no provoked reason, she decides to tap my next bite of banana with her foot. Her punishment was to eat the piece that she contaminated. Well, as you can see it turned into a banana fight of which I lost by choice. I could out run her, but she wouldn't stop just coming after me. Eventually, I broke down into laughter which led to my banana face.
Future Advice: Banana fights leave a very bad smell and are very sticky in your hair!!!

Earthquake
Every Mother's day we take Grandma Durr out to eat. It's been kind of a family tradition and normally we go to Lucy's Mexican restaurant on Sierra way. This year, it was my mom's 50th birthday a few days before and we all went out then. So for this year, we all showed up at Del Taco. We hung out for almost an hour just relaxing and having a good time.
Audrey's Surprise Bday Dinner
Last weekend was Audrey's birthday. Her parents came down and she was already hosting a large gathering for James ad Christina who are leaving town pretty soon. So, we had to wait until this weekend to surprise her with a dinner and cake. We got some of her younger friends together and went for some food at Two Guys.
After dinner, we headed back to the Stewarts to hang out and play games. Instead, we just hungout, went to checkout Juan and Audrey's new house around the block, and then surprised her with cake when we got back.
She wondered who the cake was for as we all sung Happy Birthday. It was a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream that was SO GOOD! Good job Matt and Wendy.

Mother's Day - Erin's Church
Erin has a tradition of which she attends her mother's church for Mother's day. She asked me to tag along and it was fun to try things out a little different than the norm. Of course I always like to take candid shots. The service was very pleasant and QUICK. We sat in the back row, of course. I thought we would make a quick get away, but Erin wanted to check out the "After Church Dessert" table. I was afraid that we would have to make small talk with someone, but to my surprise we were on of the first people in line for snacks which meant we were the first out the door before most of the older congregation could shuffle from the chapel to the community room.
The church is on Mission in Riverside and it is so old with so many cracks in the walls that it has an earthquake disclaimer and disaster plan printed in the weekly program.
Erin has a magical ability to take very good self portraits.
Market Night
Last Thursday night, my mom didn't have to work for the first time in a long time. She was convinced to go browse around Market Night in Redlands. We had nothing planned so she got us to tag along. I hadn't been in a long time and Erin had never been to the one in Redlands and she misses the one that used to be in Riverside.
There wasn't very much stuff to buy like their used to be. Of course there were several people selling fashioable sun glasses that Erin was so willing to display.
The following picture is not posted by choice, but I am able to reserve the right to post any picture of my choosing in the future. Which picture shall I choose.....
The night ended with a quick trip to Chipotle. The weather was nice and Mom, Brian, Erin and I had a good time just hanging out.

Disneyland...again
Last Friday we went to Disneyland again for a get together with Kevin's family. There was about 15 or so of us and we actually got to ride some rides all together.
Big Thunder Mountain aka Ride of death. I don't think anyone was decapitated this time around.
I'm so excited, you can see it in my lazy eye...
Disneyland sweaters.
This is a: Ham, turkey and cheese sandwich deep fried with powdered sugar and a berry sauce for dipping. Up in the left hand corner are parmesan garlic fries. You should probably go on a diet after looking at this.
Kevin was number one for the day! I was number 4 because I sacrificed the good seat.
Most of us.
It was a lot of fun. Kevin's family heard we were engaged but I got to tell the whole story and show everyone my ring, which I love doing. Bank tellers, people sitting next to me in class...no one is safe from me showing off.
