It doesn't have to be my hands, right? Because I would much rather put a picture of my baby's hands. That are attached to his body. Ok I just wanted to put a picture of my baby so, any excuse really.

I stole this little ditty from one Mrs. Cori Shaw and it looks like fun. Plus everyone (my sister and...well, that's all) has been clamoring for me to blog more. It's a screen shot, dumb, so as you can see I took it at 12:52pm and I had 93% of my battery left. How interesting. So here's my first picture!



Self portrait. I rarely take pictures with me in them any more since I had a baby alter my body. But here's me in my supa fresh do rag I'll be wearing with my team, the real housewives of the IE, at the mud run on Saturday!

Beach Vacation Day 2

Day 2 was a little longer than Day 1 partly due to Little Dude waking up a little earlier than normal. Soon after he woke up, we found that the whole house was uncharacteristically waking up early too. By 8 am, just about everyone was up and getting ready to chow down on some breakfast.

Gma made some yummy breakfast burritos. The secret for any good bburrito is to use tater tots. A MUST. After breakfast, just about everyone loaded up for a trip up the boardwalk on bikes, longboards, and kids in carriers. Gma and Little Dude stayed home to nap.

The rest of the day included kite flying, more bike riding, more eating food, more bike riding, longboard riding, finding ice cream, quick trip to the water, more longboard riding, roasting smores, and then some entertainment as the party goers came back in for the evening. Oh and Mom finally joined us this afternoon after her girls trip out was all wrapped up.

Beach Vacation Day -1

While Erin went to girls night, I was supposed to stay and manage the fort. After a little bribing and intervention from grandma, I got permission to go to the beach a day early.

Getting loaded up and to your destination always takes almost a full day, even when you are just an hour away. I loaded up the truck and waited for additional loads from gma and Diane.

Then pops came home and started to load up for his overnighter. It was the SB Stake father and son, but Little dude is still too little for roughin it, especially in the forecasted cold weather. Besides.... Barren desert or on the sand beach house??

So my choice of route to the beach maybe wasn't the shortest or fastest, but I avoid the 91 like the plague. Instead I took the 210 to the 15 to the 10 to the 57 to the 5 to the 55 to Newport Beach. Total travel time was about 1:20 which wasn't bad for a Friday afternoon.

Unloading wasn't too bad with all the help. We got a two bedroom one bath right next to Newport Pier. It sleeps 8 but tonight we got 12 and tomorrow 13. Air mattresses and little walkways. Amen to having a baby gives automatic bedroom rights.

Last of all, let's not forget why we are here to celebrate AuntD's 30th bday. It just so happens that are downstairs neighbors are doing the same for someone else.
