Days to Remember (3of10)

Waking up Sunday (September 13,2009) morning next to a beauty that eclipses 25 years of daybreaks. For each and every morning I get to wake with my wife at my side. It is probably the favorite moment of my day.

Because of a buddy that used to work at the Mission Inn in Riverside, the manager "'comp'ed" us up to a junior sweet. At first I was confused because the receptionist told us that we would be on the 2nd floor, when James told us we would have a mission room on the 4th floor. After taking a few steps away form the front desk, I actually turned around and inquired about why the floor change. That is when the receptionist told us what had happened. Sure enough the junior sweet was very nice and enjoyable.

The leftovers from the first night of the honeymoon.

A first breakfast and husband and wife should always be had in bed

So good!!!

A panoramic view of our room since Mission Inn Blvd is just out our window

The dress needed to be cared for because she would need to use it a week later

We kind of just skipped right by the couch and sitting room.

Leaving the next day to start our journey up the Cali coast

Erin found a new fav Diet Coke spot: The Costco in Montclair... ever been?

The central cali hills

When we arrived to SeaCrest in Pismo this is the view we found out our window

We decided to walk the beach to go dinner. Of course we kept taking photos along the way. Erin didn't take her flip flops off because the sand was cold, so instead she kept flicking sand all over the back of my legs.

We asked if we could have the swordfish above the door

They gave us one a bit more "fresh" on top of garlic mash potatoes

So good that we agreed we would come back to try one of their weekly specials

Days to Remember (5of10)

For those of you haven't noticed, we kind of went ahead and got married about a week ago. We are still waiting for our wedding pictures. In the meantime I thought it would be nice to kind of work backwards. But then I remembered that we are also waiting for our reception pictures from my cousins.
Since the past week has felt like a bunch of scrambled days for me, it would only be appropriate to randomly post the days that we do have pictures for.

So we begin with Tuesday, September 15, 2009. It was our last day at SeaCrest resort in Pismo Beach. After the huge breakfast yesterday, we decided to just checkout the free breakfast at our hotel. Basically we got toasted bagels and fruit loops. So much for a grand breakfast. Nonetheless, it was free food and did it's job. When you have a view like this for the morning, you would hardly want to get out of bed.

Just before lunch, we got out exploring and found a nice little place that we thought would be appropriate to have lunch at......

Unfortunately, the Honeymoon cafe is more of a photo op' than its reputation or menu. It was all organic stuff and veggie style menu.

As we ventured away from our failure, we used our noses to guide us to the other side of the restaurant spectrum...... Mo's BBQ.

Eating on the main drag in Pismo was nice as we always like to people watch while enjoying our food.

We often would enjoy the beginning parts of sunset in our room. Earlier in the afternoon, we had enjoyed hanging out on the beach and then soaking in our in-room hot tub.

Then we had got a few last minute pics in before....

Finding the perfect spot to take a picture at sunset....

Sunday Night, Monday Night, Tuesday Night all spent at Pismo Beach and it treated us with the perfect weather and relaxation requirements. We can't ever remember being hungry thanks to all the food around our hotel....

Watch out

Look how close our ladybugs are! Wow, just 6 more days till I kiss Hudson goodbye and become a Durr. It's been real Hudson but I'm ready for a change. I'm so so excited for everything, it has been the shortest and longest 5 months of my life, and I know I haven't always been the sweetest person to hang around but Kevin really has. I can't believe the patience he's had with me while I complain about work, school, wedding plans and everything else. I do love my Kevin Durr.

Top Ten from the last 10 (months)

It all began at a party in Glendora. I was in the backyard and she was in the front yard.

Then there, was the halloween dance. She really is a doll everyday.

Then there was falling in love over the holiday season.
New Year's Day Celebration along with the first "I love you."

The whole month of February was spent with my Valentine, especially the at beach.

March was a time of watching movies and practicing chilling next to someone I would spend the rest of my life with.

Then there was......

Sometimes we fight with fruit and find that fruit is very messy to fight with.

In June we discovered that you can do anything better than me.

Our first mini vacation together going to Palm Springs in July

August was waiting in the celestial room to see my future bride for the first time in the greatest place on earth

Hmmm...♥

The absolute best feeling in the world is Kevin fast asleep on my lap with his arms draped over my legs and he's snoring just a little. Bonus love points if he drools.

Diet Coke Challenge '09

So Kevin was trying to convince me that diet coke from a can tastes that same as diet coke from a fountain. That's right, and this guy is going to be a nurse. You could fill up a swimming pool with canned diet coke and I wouldn't even be tempted to drink my way to the bottom. We decided to have a diet coke challenge to see if I could taste the difference between the two. We went to Del Taco and got a DC from the fountain and an empty Del Taco cup with ice. All that was missing was a poster board with a problem, hypothesis, procedure, result, conclusion, and a green participation ribbon.

In the end I was victorious. Diet coke from a can tastes totally flat. My reward: A small diet coke from Del Taco.

Fun to do - Hmmmmm

Last night, we discovered a very simple and really fun game to play together. We were lounging on the couch and somehow we broke out into humming songs while the other would try and guess which song it was. Don't bash it until you try it, it makes for a really good laugh!
Some of the songs we tried were
1. YMCA
2. Livin on a Prayer
3. Stayin Alive
4. Battlefield

Hint: Church hymns are easy, but try some current pop songs (they are hard).
